Something worth reading...

yeah i read that this morning...didn't quite want to post it here...my thoughts:

cryptogon is an "outta-sight" site...it takes a certain mindset to get into what that hommie likes to lay down...read his About page and look at the books that pop on the sides

that article is written by socialists and i think there is a lot of truth to it...and this sort of has to do w/ what I was saying about a movie about money...its hard to take in stuff like this...there's a certain element to it that means you're constantly being played...that's why there's such an emphasis on live music/community right now because people know just how fucked it is, and one thing america does provide is the opportunity for its people to engage w/ one another and try to create decent solutions, but in effect are always bandaids because in the end, the captains of the ship are not just..never really have been even since the greeks

alexis detocqueville said in his democracy in america that he thought it was good for americans to become familiar with classical political philosophy...im reading plato's republic right now and i'm begining to see why

lets say you have a ship and the ships captain is no good...he's shortsighted, deaf, stupid, unknowing, ignorant....because he is ignorant the crew manipulates him through appeal and flatter...they essentially run the ship but they suck too because its usually just maximize their pleasure....the 3rd party of the ship is the navigator, and people view him with contempt

this is the democratic state

sovreign people are the captain...we are "in charge"

politicians are the crew

navigator is who should be running the show....he treats things as a doctor treats his patients...he knows science, like astronomy to help navigate the way...he's not in it for himself, but for everyone

sorry for lame link...but i think one thing that you're missing here is the wind...or the economy if you will. can't really grasp how, but i'm throwing that idea out there to hopefully generate some dialogue...i feel as though the "skulls" aren't actually back there pressing all the buttons, but perhaps they're behind the wind machine. or them and their friends. i dunno man, i still think that there is something to be said for the fact that obama raised 37 million in january. where is this money coming from? and more importantly, why? TANGENT: THIS CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY TEACHER IS A FUCKING MORON!!! HE'S JUST NOW GETTING TO CFL'S AND WE'RE A GODDAMN MONTH IN!!! BIOTECHNOLOGY! NANOTECHNOLOGY! TEACH ME STUFF I CAN'T LEARN ON MY OWN! FUCKIN SHIT MAN CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY, NOT TECHNOLOGY WE HAVE HAD FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS...TELL ME WHAT'S NEXT, FUCK!
anyway, i mean the man owes somebody something. never underestimate murdoch and his shady shady motives. if murdoch supports something, i want to know why. immediately skepticism comes into play. now, is obama as "in debt" or as closed minded as the other two, no...but still, "something worth reading." now, in tearms of the music/community....these things cost money too and more and more, at least at the "strictly music" festivals, i feel the prescence of the elite class involved in manipulating me. it's diluted in those settings, but still...i mean, at&t is right there. did mtv really buy bonnaroo? i just spent the weekend with the mtv execs and staff, and they're cool, but still very very sort of self interest driven. or self, meaning me and my friends, driven. Jeff Sipe (the man) has a bass drum that has a picture of the earth and it says, "one planet, one people, one future" I don't see that goal in the minds or actions of the people at At&t or MTV...i dunno

taka is right, that site is link stealing (hit snagging?) from the real web page. that is something we should be aware of as well on the blog. posting someone else's content is not fair cause the web traffic is diverted from the source.... blah blah blah

its ridiculous iin my opinion to elevate Obama to the messiah position for democracy, in order to smash him down. i love the guy and think that inspiration alone sets him apart and make people belive in change. this change may translate into people realizing that they can change THEMSELVES and fear and division don't have to dominate their psyche.
that said, Obama is not going to fix the world. all his ideas are not perfect, society and democracy will still be flawed, but he has the potential to set a grand course for our country and the world at a time when we need it most.
i am glad that there are voices that push our democracy in all different directions. we can all learn from all points of view and enable ourselves to switch brains with others coming from somewhere totally different. what i am not down with is pushing one's own agenda while trashing the place some else stands on (this article, imo.)

a dialogue is happening and i surely would assume that the socialist writer of this piece is more in line with Obama that any of the others.

baby steps at this point are a grand move in the right direction....
