I was just talking about this in class. There are two "gyres", each larger than the state of Texas! Disgusting? Yes, but there are new ecological niches developing on and about the gyres, so would it be wrong to destroy this habitats by cleaning them up?

It could be called evolution, yes....new and interesting breeds of organism feeding and thriving off the neglected refuse of man JYS NBD....i just hope i never have to sunbathe there
