i watched a movie in one of my physiology classes once about a guy who was in an accident and completely paralyzed from the neck down and they put some electrodes in his brain and hooked them up with a computer and using nothing but his thoughts he could move the mouse across the screen and type the words he was thinking. pretty amazing
